veckans klipp...

I'm on a roll!!

Another week has gone by..

This blog has turned into the most boring place on the internet. All I do is wake up, work, have lunch, work, have dinner, work, go home, barely sleep, and then it all starts over again. This week is also approaching 60 h of work and I have some more stuff I’ll need to have in place before Monday. But then again, I’ll rather work 60 h in Tokyo than 60 h in Malmö. =)

It's not always that easy to be working in Japan. This is one of the things I'm up against. Everything is in Japanese...

Anyway, now it’s Saturday and I think I slept almost 15 h tonight. Awesome!! I’ve been really tired the last couple of days and had a sore throat as well, so I guess I needed that. This weekend I will hopefully hang out a bit with my colleagues. And apparently everyone desires for me to start dating a really short Japanese guy, so I guess I’ll have to put some effort into that as well. Don’t think I’ve met a guy that short yet, but yesterday on my way home I walked by an old lady who was probably half my length. I felt like a giant!!

The weather has been really nice and warm all week, except from yesterday when it was suddenly freezing. Today it’s a bit cloudy but I hope it’ll get better.

Not much news on the picture front either. Not much more to see on my way to and from work. =) But a couple of small ones though.

Thank you...

.. Mattias for your humble contribution to my poll this week. =)

Sushi it was...

Sushi was actually the first thing I ate when I had just arrived in Tokyo. Yesterday I also tried yakitori at a really nice (and really Japanese feeling) restaurant. Yakitori are skewers with different kinds of meat. The food was really great although I didn’t dare to try the most weird stuff like chicken heart or raw liver.

When we came in we had to take our shoes off at the door and the tables were lowered a bit under the floor in a fake traditional kind of way. I had a bit of trouble getting in and out of the table.. Limber as always… When we left the restaurant they had already put our shoes neatly by the door. The Japanese sure are amazing. =)

It's time..

Uuuuuuaaaaah!!! Today it's time. The bags are almost packed, and I've realised that I cannot buy anything in Japan without exceeding the weight limit.

It seems like most of you know me quite well considering this weeks poll. I will get back to you if anything extreme happens. I guess we can rule out oversleeping. =)

The great holiday of Tamagotchi

It seems like most of you prefer the great Tamagotchi day.
I must say that I agree. It sure is a magnificent little creature that we celebrate!!

This weekend I spent with my family. Friday to Sunday at my brothers house with his wife and kids. Sunday to Monday at my mothers and Daniels house. As usual lots and lots of sweets and delicious food (a manificent lamb steak with potato gratin and red wine sauce for example. Yummi for the tummy!!). I also picked up a suitcase the size of a small country. Might come in handy! ;-)
I have thought a bit about how it would be to live abroad for a couple of years. But seeing my niece and nephew and realising how much that happens in just a month or two it seems impossible to be able to stay away that long. I'll probably just stay put in Sweden.. =)

Depressing results...

I must say that I'm utterly disappointed that you don't have more faith in me... Apparently most of you think that I will overload my luggage quite extensively. I guess I will just have to go to great lengths to prove you all wrong!! Moahaha!!!

Today I have continued my meet-all-my-friends-and-family-before-I-leave procedure. Today it was Anna-Carins turn. It's always very nice to see her, and although we lead very different lifes we always have loads to talk about.
The workload in the project continues to increase. Every week we spend a couple of extra hours at work and still there is so much more we should've done. Maybe that's a good thing so I can slowly adapt to the amount of work I will have in Japan.
I have also realized that I will miss out on a couple of Swedish holidays like easter and May 1st. Instead I will celebrate Shōwa no hi, Kenpou kinenbi, Midori no hi and Kodomo no hi. Sounds like fun!! =)
